"Practice' is a performative project that reimagines the gayageum, a traditional Korean string instrument, as a medium for exploring generational tension and cultural transformation. By breaking away from the static, floor-bound playing method, the instrument is animated through movement, dance, and raw physicality, redefining the relationship between body and sound.
Rather than mere repetition, practice is framed as a primal human impulse to live tomorrow better than today. In a society that conceals the labor of growth beneath the illusion of perfection, this work exposes the invisible process of becoming. It resists the myth of “results without process” and instead embraces a cyclical structure of attempt, repetition, and evolution.
Through cycles of attempt, repetition, and transformation, the work blurs the line between tradition and modernity, proposing a new aesthetic language born from disruption. It is a declaration that all forms of practice deserve recognition and that the act of living each day is itself a form of art. Practice transforms tradition into material, dismantling and reconstructing it to reveal new artistic possibilities.

"Art of Living Nature" is a solo performance that merges art, music, and movement into a captivating experience. Inspired by her travels through Sweden, Croatia, India, and Korea, the project celebrates the beauty found in our surroundings. By transforming personal experiences into art, she invites us to see the world anew and discover the artistry in our own lives.
The first output 'Bloom', born from a year in Sweden, reimagines traditional Korean music with a fresh, contemporary sound. The second song 'Flow', inspired by Croatia's flowing landscapes, mirrors nature's movement in music. The third work, 'On the Ground ' is a rhythmic exploration of Earth's energy, while the next creation 'The Breeze' is a poetic reflection inspired by an Indian poem. And the finale, 'Angle' is a multidisciplinary piece that blends dance, music, and storytelling to depict a girl's pursuit of dreams.
Through these works, Sunju creates a lasting impression, encouraging us to find beauty and inspiration in our everyday lives.
